Why do I shoot Beauty & Boudoir?

When I started doing beauty/fashion and boudoir photoshoots, I was nervous and insecure, not really knowing what the images would look like. I had hundreds of questions in my head, will my friends and clients hate the pictures? Am I the right person to be doing this type of photography? What will my family and friends think about me venturing into this field of work? But then, during the photoshoots and while taking short breaks between poses to show my models the photos–straight from the camera. I got a chance to see them smile, feel happy, proud, empowered, and strong about themselves. Those smiles gave me confidence and a feeling of accomplishment, at the same time it challenged me to approach my subjects and my craft in a way I never thought I'd be courageous enough–or even possible for me–to do. Then I thought to myself if I can be part of a very special and important day in the life of my friends and clients, If I can see them smile and help them feel bold, daring, independent, and sexy, then I believe I can do this. Together we can create not just art, but we can also help make this a better world, one beauty & boudoir photoshoot, and film at a time.

What am I looking to spend on my Boudoir and or Beauty session and packages?

Our Empowered Beauty & Boudoir  Experience starts at $495.00 ($595.00 with Hair & Makeup) and covers the photoshoot part of the day. Albums start at $995.00. Clients spend an average of $2000.00 (give or take) after they have selected their photo packages. **The session fee acts as a non-refundable retainer to hold your date at the studio. 

**In case of any unforeseen event, we will reschedule you using your previously paid fee/retainer.

Is a Boudoir session the same as a Beauty session?

Thank you for asking this question. It is not, they are two different experiences. Although both sessions are designed to be very intimate, strong, and sexy. Boudoir is characterized by the use of lingerie, undergarments, and other intimate clothing. A Beauty session, on the other hand, can be characterized by the use of street/casual clothing, a night or gala dress, etc. Although! There is no rule that says we can not mix these attires during the photo session of your choosing. Head over to our Beauty and Boudoir galleries so you can see some of the differences by yourself.

Do I need to book a photo and video session at the same time?

Not at all! The same way you decide if you want to book a Beauty and/or a Boudoir session. you can book only a photo session, only a video session, or both. Whichever you decide, we are here to help you plan and enjoy your experience. We’ll guide you through every step to make sure you get what you want.

How soon do I get to see my pictures/videos and when do I get to order my products?

We do “same day-in house” viewing of your photographs so you can choose the ones you like the most. Consequently, these photos will end up in the package(s) you select. These can be a photo album, luxury wall print, slide show, digital files, or a combination of different products. The process of viewing videos is slightly different. 5 to 6 business days after the video shoot, we’ll send you a private link for you to see the video and make final editing notes. You can do these notes online or in-person by scheduling a new in-person appointment with us.

I don’t know how to pose, do I need to prepare before the photo session?

You don’t have to worry about posing at all. Once you arrive at your session, we’ll coach and guide you through each pose. As we move from one place and pose to another, we’ll make sure you feel and look your absolute best. Remember that this is all about having fun and leaving your worries outside the door.

Will my photos be made public on your website and/or social media?

We NEVER share photos of any of our clients (on any platform) without written consent. We will ask for permission to use your image(s) and/or videos for promotional use only. If you decline, you will be the only person we will show and deliver the photos and/or videos to. Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance to us. 

Where are you located?

We are located in Berkeley near Oakland and Emeryville. Within walking distance from coffee shops and restaurants. We are 1.3 miles from The Emeryville Public Market food court, 1.8 miles from the Bay Street Emeryville Mall, and 2.6 miles from IKEA. All conveniently located by the 80 (Bay Bridge), 580, and 880 freeway intersections.

Do you only shoot at your studio?

One thing about living in the Northern California/Bay Area is that we have so many beautiful and mesmerizing locations available to us. Upon request, we can take our team to where you want your photo/video session to be at. If you have a hotel in mind, a beautiful beach, Yosemite, or the Caribbean, or you simply love your living room, your bedroom, bathroom or kitchen...we will make this happen for you.
